Comments Thread For: Khan Says He Inked Old Mayweather Deal For Low Money

Last year, British star Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) was adamant that he signed a contract to face WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 3rd of this year. Khan was advised to withdraw from a planned fight with then IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander. He took the advise, but then he was unexpectedly passed over when Mayweather selected Marcos Maidana.

He mentioned it before the Collazo fight iirc. He said the amount was "peanuts compared to what people thought".

Well, Maidana got appr. 3 million and he had a belt. I am sure whatever they offered Khan was less than that. If he has a signed contract let's see it.
Word is Floyd also sent Pac a contract in early 2010. Wonder what would have happened if Pac had signed that one....

Nobody really cares Amir. We want the Pacquiao fight. Although the Pacquiao fight will never happen. Anyone else been to Fighthype the past few weeks, man they are really trying to hype a Floyd vs Khan fight.

This puts merit that Floyd's poll on his website was rigged. Floyd has been trying to fight Khan for the longest time. Floyd just needed the public to buy in and they didn't.
