That interview was actually done before Pacquiao Algieri. Roy post Algieri Pac has already said the fight that should happen is Mayweather Pac.

Also why would he have to push for that fight when Vargas is basically next in line if Pac doesnt fight Floyd? so he doesnt have to push for his fighter to fight Pac. we all know how Arum works so Roy is just speaking what many people think, why is it you guys have a hard time believing people can think Floyd is boring?

If Mayweather retires:

Mayweather promotions will fall because Floyd is Mayweather promotions. Haymon will leave. Shaefer will leave. The networks will leave. No one wants to do business with Mayweather unless he's fighting. It started happening to Roy when he finally got beat.

For this reason I predict Floyd fights well into his 40's.

I'll put a Roy highlights video up against a Floyd highlights video any time.

Floyd fights safety first and always has. Whilst that's his right - it's his health - it makes for boring UDs as the default. He can go on the attack, such as with Gatti, but that's rare.

Roy would ****e things up with daft showboating and flash punches. He has a lengthy list of highlight reel kayos and spectacular moves and against top fighters as well. Floyd's highlights against the best opponents consist of pull counters and little else.

To accuse RJJ of being a hypocrite misses the fact that he wasn't just P4P #1 at his peak, but also one of the most entertaining fighters in the business. Mayweather relies on being hated to make him a big draw, because he's not a big enough draw without that animosity.

Mayweather is plain boring.

Even against a exciting fighters in Maidana. He Couldn't fight in the inside, so he had to buy himself a Ref who would let him clinch and hold for the whole fight. Even a below average Alexander had a easier time with Maidana, that alone just tells you how Excessive Clinching is not being enforced by referees and the comission, when a B-/C+ level fighter is able to clinch his way to an easier victory than a so called "TBE" did.

The whole card was aweful. No wonder his Networkd is loosing money because of his ego.

now you have all these same pro boxers saying Mayweather was scared to fight Pacquiao a couple of years ago. And that a couple of years ago Pacquiao would've destroyed Mayweather. And that's why Mayweather wouldn't fight Pacquiao. Because once he lost that "0" nobody would care as much about him anymore because most people pay to see him lose than to see him win.

Because EVERYONE knows that he wins in a boring fashion. And all his fights are boring.

Roy Jones is making himself look like an idiot. For Christ sakes he did the same bull**** with Bernard Hopkins. He was a bigger draw than Hopkins and neither one could agree on a number so they never fought in their prime. Hopkins probably beats him in his prime as well.
