If they put it on a Cotto/Canelo undercard, you're talking big PPV numbers.
Huge numbers. You are right, I just thought that Abner could pick up a belt at 122 and become a power player at SBW again

It can also help raise a fighters stock. If he even took the fight with Rigondeaux he would get big credit let alone if he was remotely competitive.
He'd learn more from that fight than all these cherrypicks together.

If its about money then why won't he fight Frampton in Belfast? Frampton as I am sure you know does crazy numbers, he has a whole country behind him.
Is it because his team know he losses that fight?
How can you call yourself a world champion if you're scared to risk your undefeated record?

Quigg also a big draw and is a winnable fight for him I don't understand it.
      Timing is everything.
I'm sure Quigg, Frampton, Santa Cruz and even Mares will eventually get in the ring.
I'm sure when Frampton KO's Avalos and draws another 16,000 fans like he did against Martinez, then they'll push for a Frampton vs Quigg fight in the UK.
Wouldn't be surprise if the winner of that fight meets the winner of a Mares/SLC fight in the fall of 2015.

Just because the fights don't happen the moment you want them to, doesn't mean anyone is ducking.

At this point I don't think Abner really cares about the titles. He's interested in big fights now. If he beats LSC which I believe he will, he could fight Frampton, Quigg, heck he might even get a fight with Donaire, which I believe can still be a big fight.

No casuals will just see a guy being totally outclassed thus knocking down Santa from the pedestal he is on right now

            Mexicans love him

Also the loss will take confidence away from Leo

Stub Hub or Staples Center is the only place this fight should be.

Great fight!! I think mares will dig deep and pull off a late ko, or close decision.

... If Golden Boy told him, then Golden Boy it is.
... But don't understand what's Santa Cruz's business at the featherweights? Difficult division (with Gonzalez, Walters, Lomachenko etc)... Well...

Oh this is going to be a damn good fight. Can't wait to see it. This is what I expect from Haymon in 2015.
