Because it didn't happen. The fight was in Boone's home town. Do you really think they'd let an unknown Russian get away with a robbery in Georgia? Kovalev's lone draw was a robbery though, when the American faked a foul when he got dropped to the canvas.

As far as Calzaghe vs Kovalev - prime Calzaghe didn't fight at 175...

He can say whatever he likes. He will still get KOed. Kovalev does his fighting in the ring and lets his fists do the talking very convincingly. He doesn't give a damn what Pascal says. The same Pascal who said when he was champion that all close rounds go to the champion. They have a common opponent in Hopkins and that should tell you how this fight will probably go.

This is a good fight. May be the best one available. Krusher is really cleaning all the corners. Got to give him credit for chasing the biggest names and the best fighters in his division. Should he win Pascal (could be harder than expected fight) the Stevenson should be next. LW division is losing its luster a little bit.. Too many guys heading out and few entering (WARD).

A little mythical matchup:

Krusher vs Calzaghe. Who wins and why? I personally believe that Joes activity, speed and pre hand problem version power would be too much for Kovalev. UD with three KD's, which of two would be scored by Joe.

As I see it, prime Krusher outworks, outboxes, and knocks-out Joe. And I mean prime Joe. Just my opinion, but that's how I see it.
