  • Comments Thread For: Bradley's Trainer on Mayweather: Credibility at Stake!

According to Joel Diaz, trainer of former two-division world champion Timothy Bradley, WBC/WBA champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is playing a dangerous game if he intends to pass over Manny Pacquiao in favor of an alternate opponent for 2015.

The demand for a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is astronomical at the moment and the ball appears to be in Mayweather's court, with Pacquiao publicly agreeing to any drug testing requirements and handing Mayweather the bigger portion of the money.

The blame lies just as much on Pacquiao and Bob Arum's shoulders. Lets not act like these guys haven't put up roadblocks as well. Both sides need to stfu and come to an agreement.

Com'on guys, even Diaz should know Bob will stall the fight bcuz if PAC loses (most knows that he will) his gravy train is over. He gave a clue with his last Cinco de Nayo statement. Why would Floyd take this easy money? Bob's no going to have it, simply put.

I agree. They need to cut it out and come together and split the pie down 50/50 with no random drug testing. Lets make this happen.

Time to step up, Floyd. Legacy at stake. I'm sure a 60/40 split works for Arum and Pacquiao. They might even be pushed down to 37, 38%. That's around 100 mill for Money May and a ton of dough for Pac too. It's a no-brainer.

If Pacquiao's exposure to the Chinese market brings in additional PPV revenue - 48 million watched his last fight in that country - they might want a better deal. If 10 million in China watch this bout, even if it's for $5 per PPV, that brings in $50 million plus a huge advertising revenue stream. Something to consider.

It's encouraging that Moonves is now apparently talking to Haymon. More than perhaps anyone, Haymon holds the keys to getting this made.

Another guy talking that knows only 1/2 the story , he doesnt know that Arum is roadblocking May 2 , he doesnt know Floyd has came out twice more calling out Manny .

So this is another half baked story .

How can they come to an agreement when only 1 party (Pac's) is sitting on the negotiation table while the other 1 (Floyd) is sitting in his computer chair twitting?
