  • National Pacquiao Rican Day Parade in NYC as possible alternative date for mega fight

If Canelo and Cotto do in fact poach Cinco De Mayo (the day Floyd Mayweather defeated the French Army in 1862) from Money May, perhaps the best alternative date to maximize PPv profits for the mega fight could be held on the second Sunday in June in NYC.

This is known as National Puerto Rican Day. It is a day where Puerto Ricans celebrate Cotto's revenge against Pacquiao when Juan Manuel Marquez brutally knocked out Pacquiao in December 2012.

This might be the perfect day to stage the mega fight if Mayweather and his fans realize that it might be a tad tasteless and greedy to the point of vulgarity to compete for Cinco De Mayo against a Mexican.

Because On July 4th, we don't watch boxing. We watch fireworks.

          How about February 15th?

That is the day Manny Pacquiao met the first black US President. That could be a good day to stage a Floyd Mayweather PPV

God forbid a Mexican wants to fight on Mexican holidays.

In America. If he's so nationalistic he should fight in Mexico.

Too bad Mexicans bring in a large revenue in the states and Mexico so they get to decide what days they should fight.

Typical F.lomo answer. If Floyd wasn't fighting on those days you wouldn't give a **** but since Floyd is fighting on those days let me be bend down and agree he owns dates shall we?

Why does he have to go all the way to Mexico if Las Vegas is just a 20 minute drive from California? Everybody knows California is just another province of Mexico
