Cinco De Mayo epitomizes Mexico in the defeat of the French Army, in no way does it epitomize Mayweather JR. Its fit for an elite Mexican to fight on that date.
JR. NEEDS his own date!!
The Date that EPITOMIZES Jr is the DATE he went to JAIL and why he went to Jail in JUNE.
He should fight on that date

Arum stopped short of saying he would not participate in the planning of a long-awaited Mayweather-Pacquiao showdown on the same date as Cotto-Alvarez.
“I’m not saying that,” said Arum. “I’m just saying that it’s poaching on a Mexican date and it’s disrespectful to the Mexican people. Period. I’ll make that stand.”
HELLO! IS ANYBODY HOME!

Oscar already said he would move Canelo/Cotto if The MEGAfight is made....Canelo and Cotto gat destroyed by Floyd and Canelo isnt even that big of a draw.....Canelo can enjoy all the May 2nd fight dates when Floyd retires which will be soon, this guy is like 24......I dont hear Oscar offended about the date like Arum and he is spanish
Classic Bob Arum! SMH

[QUOTE=sirron000;15211100]Originally posted by BIGPOPPAPUMP View PostTop Rank CEO Bob Arum does not agree with Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s insistence on fighting on Cinco De Mayo weekend, May 2nd. Currently there is a tug of war for the date between Mayweather and Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
One question, where is Manny? He had a lot to say before but now that 'Daddy' is saying this date is disrepectful where is that lil guy with the big mouth now. Rob Arum did you put lil Manny in time out or did he put a gag order on Team Manny? Where is Roach, he liked to talk what happened?
