Al negotiates the fights that he wants, he presents the option(s) to his boxer so that he can either fight someone of his choosing and get paid or not get paid.
It's not a matter of money and protecting the fighter from getting ripped of in Haymon's case because all of his fighters are paid very well.
My issue is with his fighters ducking and cherry picking and this is how it happens.

that quote from the contract only says you need al's aproval to fight so and so. not specifically who al wants. but yes, it does meet the requirements to be perfectly legal for al to not give an aproval to any fight except the one he wants.
and why quote what i said like im saying al is just a manager or what not. all im saying is that technically al is just an adviser. the fighter is the one who technically made the decision to do some lame duck or what have you. you are jumping the gun by askin for an explanation from haymon. it should be the fighter saying like well this option came up but my boy haymon said dont do it, if you do you will _____ and miss out on this _____ or whatever. or on the flipside, haymon said fight this guy and fighter was like nah im not having that **** im the boss, no im not fighting him. ill fight the next best haymon approved fighter.
I agree that haymon is more than an advisor but lets be real, you dont actually expect him to act like big boss man and confirm that he is more than advisor and incriminate himself do you?

Arum only comes out to put another road block in to prevent the fight. He never mentions anything about the actual negotiations (do you know what the split is supposed to be?). You guys are that dumb rock that he he talks about and he is just kicking you in the direction he wants.
All I know is Floyd made fights with Oscar, Cotto, and Hatton easy. When those fighters had to negotiate with Arum those fights where either called off at one point (just Google any article about their negotiations). People want to believe it is Floyd but if you do your homework you will see that one side always has problems negotiating the fight. When Marquez KTFO Manny he asked for a 50/50 split for another fight and he could not get that after beating him the way he did.

All I'm saying is for you and the fans to look past the "technically" and tell it as it is.

In your everyday life are you mad at people who lie to you or the people that don't speak to you at all?
I both people matters to me, I will both demand for an explanation.
Does that answer your question?Last edited by Rath; 12-21-2014, 01:13 AM.
