How man modern boxers use jack dempseys drop step?

I pretty sure a few use it at least sparsely, I believe ive seen Hopkins, lewis, mayweather, and a few others use it. But its quite hard to tell especially if they are naturally fast and explosive anyway.

It ain't Jack Dempsey's it goes back too Joe Ganns n probably further, its fairly common practice, Miguel Cotto is another that uses it.

you talking about a power jab coming by pushing off the rear foot. bouncing with the front foot and coming back to defensive stance/continuing offense after throwing?

Wladimir Klitschko doesn't use a drop step or even know what it is. But Weltzchmerz will tell you that he would still send Jack Dempsey into Bolivian if they fought.

Really ive seen no such evidence of the kinda speed the drop step produces, in most boxers.

It's putting all of your weight on your front foot while staying on the ball of your back foot and stepping forward / dropping it forward as you jab, the theory is that all of your weight is moving forward with the jab so it's gonna hit a lot harder.
