Comments Thread For: Wilder: I Want Short Night With Stiverne But Can Go 12

Deontay Wilder has never gone 12 rounds. He’s never gone 10. Or 8. Or 6. In fact, in his 32 wins, all by knockout, only four of his bouts even entered the fourth round.

Bermane Stiverne, the heavyweight titleholder Wilder is challenging on Jan. 17 on Showtime, has gone 12 rounds once, 10 rounds once and 8 rounds twice while compiling a record of 24-1-1 with 21 KOs.

But Wilder isn’t worried about going the distance — if their fight even does.

if wilder can do away with stiverne in 6 or less then I think he has some potential. he hasn't been tested and he knows he hasn't I think hes gonna bring out some new things for us and stiverne will help show us what hes made of! cant wait for this one

Wilder took notes on that Fury - Chisora fight

Just go for the KO Wilder. Don't be silly with this ewok. KO him hard and make a statement.

I've had faith in Wilder for quite a while but this fight will officially legitimize his status as one of the #2 at heavyweight. In my view Wilder would make easy work of Fury, Ruiz, Browne... And a fight with Klitchko would be great to see. A future fight with Joshua would be Amazing as well.

Wouldn't be surprised if this fight goes 2, first guy to land their right hand wins imo, I don't think either guy can handle each others power.

Beating Stiverne is not gonna make Wilder #2 IMO. Who has Stiverne beaten? Heavyweight division is wide open for the taking! After Wlad leaves

I hope Wilder wins. His chin will be tested in this fight.

It's difficult to say how Wilder would cope with the guys you mention here as he's never fought anybody remotely close to that kind of level before.
