Why is Johnathon Banks still fighting?

He looked without ambition vs 46 yr old Tarver and was easily stopped too. He has a much better gig as head trainer for Vladimir, I don't see why he wants to fight, especially after two defeats in a row now and not being active as a fighter in general anymore. He risks more than he can gain in this way. He doesn't have any potential to become champion either when Vlad retires. Banks should focus on being a trainer, I think he has actually improved Vlad's game following in the footsteps of the great Emanuel Steward.

Tarver's style is intimidating, doesn't matter how old he is.

He looked good for his age. He fights because of the drugs issues though, he had good commentator gigs he lost. He should keep fighting if winning surely and go for top 15 guys. I guess he is thinking Vlad retires in a couple years and then give it a final go. He still has the timing and power as I saw it with Banks, and obviously decades of experience.

The only reason why Jonathan Banks is still fighting is because he knocked out Seth Mitchell. If Mitchell had beat him, as was expected, Banks would've drifted off into life as a full-time trainer

I would guess because of money.

It would seem likely that Banks is getting some nice paychecks for training Klitschko. If its anywhere near 10%, that is better money than he gets for fighting on ESPN.

But he's not getting 10% we all know that. Wlad doesn't want to give opponents 10% let alone his trainer.

I would imagine Banks will get a fixed fee + expenses paid. Doubt it's something he'll get rich of, especially as there's a lot of trainers in the Klitschko camp other than him.
