To me this looks like what I have been saying all along. Mayweather is as desperate to keep his May Date as his heroin fiend mom was when she couldn't get her fix, and Bob Arum knows this and he knows he has all the power in his hands to simply make the cotto canelo fight and not only kick him off the date, but also snatch the ppv crown right out of his little crack smoking hands. Mayweather knows this as well so he needs to start being reasonable and be fair in negotiations or be chased off his date and probably into retirement with the whole world knowing he ducked pacquiao by offering him too little and being too greedy. I'm sure many would accept less than he deserves but there has to be a limit because hes earned his 55/45 split based on the money he has brough in compared to mayweather and not even including the fact he has more big wins under his belt and more accolades, fighter of decade, 8 division world champ ect ect ect. Manny is right Mayweather has nowhere to run but many. If FLoyd prices himself out he loses all that garbage that many doesn't really care about.

other than floyd wanting not to be seen to give up "his date", there is no reason why a fight with Pac needs to be may 5th. it will outsell everyone else this year whenever it is imo.

however, june in NYC is equally viable for cotto-canelo and might be what cotto actually wants anyway. i think cotto has the upper hand in negotiations with canelo.

if floyd-pac gets made it will definitely have a rematch clause, and probably a trilogy clause in the event it goes 1-1!

It will have a rematch clause , but after Floyd wins every round nobody will want to see a rematch , Manny can go back to his Algieri Vargas class fights .
