Floyd can say whatever he wants. Saying you want Pacquiao and actually negotiating in good faith are 2 different things. Lets see if he starts asking for unrealistic demands such as lowballing Pac and telling him he cant wear his cleto reyes gloves, etc.

You would never blame Manny if one of his opponents refused a fight with him over gloves, VADA testing, purse split, not joining TR or anything else.

Pac isn't a Maidana type opponent who will jump at the opportunity to make a measly $1.5mil like Maidana did. Pac makes a guaranteed $20mil per fight as per his renewed contract with TR/HBO. He doesn't have to bend over and handicap himself in order to fight Floyd.

He's already conceded to osdt and backed off from his 50/50 stance. At this point 60/40 would be a fair offer as both would be making the most money they have ever made. Knowing Floyd though, he would throw a wrench in the negotiations that would kill the fight. Asking Pac to wear pillows for gloves would be a deal breaker and Floyd would lose all credibility.

Agreed with your 1st paragraph. I guess that's why Manny has been offered so much more everytime an offer is made.

As I said before, if glove choice didn't kill Morales/ Manny 1 it wont hurt this fight either. 40% is probably more than Manny is worth (65/35 seems right) but if it gets the fight made so be it.

The point remains, as your purse split suggestion illustrates, one guy is the champion/star and the other guy is the challenger/opponent. Throughout history opponents make concessions. So will Manny.
