Filipino boxer Roli Gasca has lost a controversial split decision to IBO featherweight champion Lusanda “Schoolboy” Komanisi at the Orient Theater in South Africa.

The Manila Standard/Viva Sports learned from trainer Edmund Villamor that “the hometown decision was booed by the crowd.”

Gasca is a skilled boxer but lacks explosive power and according to trainer Villamor he deserved to win as evidenced by the fight fans reaction.

i like how they say bad decisions always happen in south africa i always hear about bad judging in the uk as well but if us usa fight fans are being honest the usa is just as bad as anyone or worse. some worst decisions ever come out the usa and i dont care what anyone says these promoters are in bed with these judges either directly or influenced indirectly. If bob arum and oscar really want to make the sport better for fans a good start would be throwing their weight around and get some new rules made
