Comments Thread For: Khan: Pacquiao is Tougher To Beat Than Mayweather

It's no secret that Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) has wanted a fight with pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs) for quite some time. He also has said that he would like a pay-per-view showdown with his former Wild Card stablemate Manny Pacquiao.

While a fight against Mayweather seems more likely to happen than a fight against the Filipino congressman, Khan feels that Pacquiao presents the tougher challenge.

The problem Khan would have if he ever faces Mayweather is that Floyd is the ring master. Floyd will control every minute of every round, and unlike his fight with Devon Alexander, Khan will find that Floyd is several moves ahead of him every step of the fight. I still don't think that Amir Khan as of yet deserves Floyd, but part of me wants to see Floyd fight Khan as soon as possible so the contrast of Khan's success against Alexander will be fresh in his fan's minds as Floyd upsets all of Amir's plans - making him look second rate all the while.

No doubt about it. Right now, AS I AM (not training 8 pounds overweight), I would take on Mayweather without second thought. No joke. I would fight him as I am and I truly think I can drop him (I know how to break the philly shell and overcome the shoulder roll) I have nothing to worry about, he can't hurt me.

HOWEVER, Pacquiao, even though I would still fight him, I'd be a bit concerned. The angles, the power, the speed... I would have to be on my A game all the way through.

Anybody who knows about boxing knows that the only problem with Floyd is trying hitting him clean because he runs like a bish, Pacquiao is dangerous in every aspect. He is a better, more complete fighter than Floyd.

Khan-Mayweather is a complete formality. No flat-footed, feather-fisted counter puncher is competing with Khan, let alone actually beating him. Void will be reduced to the same hapless shell that Kotelnik, Malignaggi, Judah and Alexander were.

Let Khan have his tune up and then we can all get on with the real fight, Khan-Brook.

            Khan beats mayweather by decision

            PAC ko's khan

PAC and Floyd is a toss up fight but I think PAC gets a controversial decision

This is how I see things, but without the controversial decision.

I don't mind seeing Floyd in with either Pac or Khan. I've said from day one that Khan will give Floyd big problems despite his glass chin. Floyd doesn't crack hard enough for Khan to worry about getting KTFO.

Since both Khan and Floyd are Haymon stablemates I see this as an easier fight to get done than Floyd/Khan. Lets see if Floyd instead chooses another flat-footed fighter like Danny Garcia instead of either Pac or Khan.

When Willie Limond and Diaz can rock you, Floyd without a doubt can. Don't kid yourself. Ask those who have fought Pac and Mayweather (DLH/Mosley/Cotto) and none of them say Mayweather punches like a *****.
