Why? Let's face it, in boxing the only thing that really matters is money. Years of Floyd has made sure of that. Love him, loathe him or frankly indifferent, it doesn't matter. Whether you believe he deserves it or not is totally subjective and again is wholly irrelevant. Look at FMs previous opponents, you could say the same of them.

The reality is Khan has been world champ. He knows he has a few years left before the speed slows so wants to cash in if possible. In the WW division, in terms of money and draw he is third. That is a fact. Brook is a champ but brings no money or fan base. Thurman is a bum. Just like Lacy. No fans and a boring style. Frankly not world level. If FM v Pac can't be made he is right in the mix as they have few other credible PPV options. Simple.

Mayweather must of took note that the self proclaimed super star of boxing had no fans at the weigh in or the fight and this really makes a mockery of the amount of 'fans' that voted in his Maidana poll where were they. Khan said that it would be a "Ricky Hatton like atmosphere" when he fought in Vegas,Where was that .Khan is not liked, that much is plain to see.I thought Thurman looked good and that's the fight I'd like to see Khan take although it will probably be another one where he's at least a 3/1 on shot again.Check it out it's NEVER been any different.Good start Khan time to move it up.

I dont believe a Mayweather fight will happen.

I think it will be a Brook fight. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the suggested venues the Man City ground instead of Wembley. Both fighters are from up north, not too far from Manchester and it's also a big stadium. There was still a lot of empty seats at Wembley for Froch v Groves because they were only licensed to hold so many people. The Etihad might be a better location for it.

Khan will get Mayweather shot simply because there are no other options left for Floyd.

Lets be honest, Floyd won´t fight Manny or GGG. And there is no reason for Cotto 2 or Maidana 3.
