Anyone who would prefer Canelo-cotto to may-pac?

I'm tired of all this ***** surrounding the pac-may fight. This whole will they/won't they stuff is getting out of hand. Both arum and floyd doing the usual and refusing to negotiate.
In reality I would much prefer cotto fighting Canelo. Even though canelo haters can't deal with him fighting on may 2nd. We all know that floyd would be unable to get higher ppv than cotto-canelo unless he fights pacquiao. I would much rather push for a Canelo-cotto fight.

Let's be real floyd never considered pac until canelo claimed he wouldn't budge on cinco de mayo. I've even seen some haters hate on canelo for daring to fight on this day, a MEXICAN holiday. On cotto-canelo you could have thurman and maidana on the undercard and possibly even the fabled Broner-matthysee. In my mind those three fights are worth far more than one fight which would have been interesting years ago when both pac and may were in their primes.

Well whatever has gone on in the past, i'd still rather see Mayweather v Pacquiao.

One fight involves the 2 best and biggest of their era. Elite fighters.

The other fight involves 2 fighters who have lost to Floyd and Manny and both lost when they fought real elite fighters.

I'd take best v best instead of two fighters who aren't on their level.

Canelo-Cotto would 100% be a better fight style vs style and the floyd/manny stuff is so played out I don't think I would tune in for the latter.

Elite but rapidly aging and stylistically boring

One "needs" to happen more, the other would be the more enjoyable fight to watch with friends

And the two best could fight on Christmas and still break ppv records. That's why it's better that canelo cotto fight on may 2. Fighting on a Mexican holiday would help their sales and give good exposure to them.

Canelo and De La Hoya are being petty and trying to get the date he usually fights, like its some kind of victory over Floyd because they weren't good enough fighters to do it in the ring.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I mean don't get me wrong pac-may would be great but for May 2nd Canelo cotto seems to make more sense. Although as usual it's all about the money so floyd won't want to miss out on ppv opportunities.

So what's Floyd going to do take his ball and go home? They're trying to do what's best for them in business, it's not out of spite. Canelo and odlh know its in their best interest financially and moving forward to secure that date. Who gives a **** if Floyd usually fights on it, that's the most ridiculous argument against it.

Petty if tens of millions of dollars are petty

Like Blanco said Pac/Floyd date wouldn't even matter but Canelo/Cotto could get a huge boost on that day

Floyd probably either hijacks Cotto at the last minute or fights Khan though... Which would make these moot points
