I think st paddys day in NYC makes more sense just because the time difference would pose problems for American viewers who buy ppv. I like the fight, if the canelo fight doesn't happen I'm sure cottos people will make this happen.

If the canelo fight doesn't happen then sure, it would be the best possible matchup for cotto. But I would imagine it being in nyc rather than Ireland. Even though lee wants ireland I can't imagine cotto going there. But I reckon lee could defend against billy joe saunders in Ireland.

I think that, like me, some people didn't think lee had really proved himself enough but now I think he has definitely done enough to fight cotto. Hell, he's done more at the weight than cotto.

Oh yeah by far golovkin has done more. By far. It's almost criminal that golovkin has had no chance for quillin's title. Martinez claimed golovkin wasn't on his level then gets bombed out by cotto. I can't see cotto going against golovkin this late in his career sadly. Golovkin against lee I would love actually. Just so that he could finally get a belt and some leverage.
