      It is what happens when a quality fighter has done good work then goes up against some tricky totally unknown guy and doesn't look quite as good (or different at the very least).

      It opens up certain questions even if a guy wins pretty much the whole fight. If you have a reputation built on dominating and hurting people if you don't really do that then that reputation takes a hit. Thurman does not have the reputation of a boxer he has the reputation of a killer.
