Andy Lee just won his title so soft defense, which could be Saunders but it doesn't have to be him there are many dude who can play the part of Rosado in that scenario.

So either bring in a guy that can look alright losing to Lee that is not very threatening, or take care of the mandatory in Suanders (which would kill two birds with one stone, but if you are Andy Lee wouldn't you want that spread into 2 fights?).

I'm sure there's a softie on this list. The question is, who's willing to travel? Haymon should let Truax go to Ireland so he can have another MW belt in his possession.

WBO Rankings (before the fight last night):
      1. Matt Korobov
      2. Billy Saunders
      3. Jermall Charlo
      4. Andy Lee
      5. Lajos Mark Nagy
      6. Curtis Stevens
      7. Willlie Monroe, Jr.
      8. David Lemieux
      9. Chris Eubank, Jr.
      10. John Ryder
      11. Hamid Rahimi
      12. Caleb Truax
      13. Artur Akavov
      14. Jose Uzcategui
      15. Douglas Damiao Ataide

SECTION 20.PROCEDURE WHEN A TITLE IS DECLARED VACANT
      (b) When a boxer obtains the World Championship title or an Interim World Championship title in any category in a fight for a vacant title, he shall defend the title against the Mandatory Challenger within a term which shall not exceed one hundred eighty (180)days counting from the date he acquired the title.
If Saunders is indeed the mandatory challenger, then Lee has to defend against him next. That is, unless he decides that he doesn't want the title shot which is ******.

He actually is in the best position anyone could be in at MW other than Cotto. He is a decent name compared to other MWs, has had two impressive stoppages back to back, has a belt but looks beatable, his power and vulnerability makes him appealing to fans.

Think the deal was Saunders, but that could change now.

He could stop Billy Joe or lose 10-2. Hard to know really.

Yea if he has to fulfill his mandatory that is certainly what he should do,, and Suanders is not that tough an opponent. He would then do the softie after that and who knows what that list will look like at that point.

From there he is in pretty good position to take a step up for the right price, win or lose he would still be in a solid spot to rebound from. He could also sit back and take on the guys coming up in the U.K. I am sure there is a lot of money in that.

Saunders sounds like an easy defense he's not very good, then expect Golovkin to be explored by HBO.

it's true and I wouldn't mind that fight one bit. Preferably GGG v Cotto for unification but against Lee, Cotto gets a shot at another title, in a relatively safe fight which sells out MSG. Low risk very high reward!

I'm not a Lee fan but he is far from a journeyman, add him to the limited list of good fighters GGG has fought is more like it.
