Middleweight Andy Lee stopped Matt Korobov in dramatic fashion in the sixth round. With the win, Lee wins the vacant WBO middleweight title.

Korobov was the more effective puncher in the first two rounds. He was able to land the more telling blows, beating Lee to the punch during a majority of the exchanges.

In the third round, Lee seemed to hurt Korobov with a left hand to the head. Korobov was able to make it out of the round.

Andy Lee always has that ruggedness about him (when he isn't fighting a juiced up Jr at LHW), and it usually gets him thru. This time he finally hit the jackpot. Good for him. Couldn't happen to a better guy.

Its so evident how bias boxing scene posters are. Andy Lee scores one of the most sensational KO's of the year and boxing scene goes silent. Is it because he is not American?

Lee's been spending a lot of time at 154 deciding his future. I think he just punched a ticket to the GGG/Cotto sweepstakes. He has a v cracking good right hook, but he thinks a lot before throwing his punches.

Interested to see him take on a n'dam n'jikam type of fighter before a big fight.
I still remember Steward talking about how Lee is the Top dog in the Kronk Gym. It's kind of comical being that it is in Detroit and he is from Ireland.

Great win and KO for Lee, he did Steward proud. I'd like to see him face Quillin to be honest.

Great win for the deserving Andy Lee. Andy Lee has had a lot of ups 'n downs in his career but he never gave up the dream of winning a MW title and, for that, I'm happy for him

I've always been a lee fan, guy never complains, takes whatever fight is front of him, gives it his all, and has a beautiful cross.

Happy to see him get a belt.
