    MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Former light heavyweight champion Beibut Shumenov (15-2, 10KOs), in his first fight since losing a decision to Bernard Hopkins, made his cruiserweight debut with a fifth round technical knockout of Bobby Thomas Jr. (14-3-1, 9KOs). Shumenov broke him down round after round and Thomas was unable to come out for the sixth round.

                    Good to see Ortiz get a win finally again. He took some shots in there tonight, but at least he's on the right track.
