Maybe 2008-09 version of himself but seriously Arreola is a punching bag and who knows how good his punch resistance is now. Tarver will land that straight left with like 80% + accuracy on him and I think certainly can hurt him.

No. But he's a better boxer and so will apply what he has more effectively.

I'll bet some points with ya' if it should come to pass.

alright, but he started way too slow and didn't really pick it up till almost the end of the fight...so he would have to apply what he has more effectively, so you say, early if he is gonna want to win... arreola vs tarver of tonite no doubt arreola would beat him.

I would expect Arreola to be the aggressor in that fight and Tarver countering him as he comes in. Simple aggression could get Arreola into trouble as he has never heard of head movement and just walks straight in and I expect into alot of Tarver counters so Tarver has to find a way which I think he can to keep the pace moderate, pick his shots, and tie up in close with maybe some short sneaky shots on the inside when the chances arise.

I'll give ya' that the big vato would probably have to be the favorite, but every day that passes his advantage erodes if Tarver keeps fighting.

Tbh, I thought Tarver's punches looked pretty crisp and accurate tonight, though if Arreola pressed him he'd have to have the stamina to deal with it.

On the other hand, I can't remember him ever being a big volume puncher that much anyway.

At any rate, I think it's a good fight and I hope they make it, as I like both guys and they probably could use the work.
