Margarito took too many flush to be walking towards a fighter with Thurman's power and movement.

I don't see the kermit comparison with one time. That's just me though. Soto Karass vs Thurman is how this fight would play out except a little more competitive. I believe Thurman adapts in the middle rounds and begins to take over towards the 8th/9th rd.

I've thought of this match up before and I think prime Margarito might stop Thurman or atleast beat him on points.

Soto Karass had his moment against Thurman and a prime Margarito is twice or thrice the fighter Soto Karass is with better stamina, chin and work rate.

Thurman right now isn't battle tested enough to beat Margarito in his prime. Maybe after afew more tough fight but right now prime Margarito takes it.

Heck I think prime Tony beat most of the 147 fighters right now including Floyd.

Prime Toney was a beast. The guy who moved up to 154 to fight Daniel Santos in PR who came at 170lbs while Toney was 157lbs and Toney was still knocking him around the ring - it would take a bullet to stop that version of Margarito. Thurman could beat him on pts or cuts, but he doesn't stop him and I don't know enough about how durable Thurman is yet to know if Toney would wreck him like he did Cintron or even Cotto. The version Mosely fought had took about a year off, put on alot of weight and was enjoying his victory over Cotto the whole time. Then the hand wrap incident surely messed with his head.
