He looks really skinny at 140, at 5'11" maybe he should be fighting at 147.

Well they can't all be built like Fury haha. Actually in his last fight he was at 145 and the one prior at 150, but those guys weren't big fighters, they just weighed like so. I think Benavidez should be fine at 140 (as long as he makes it easy obviously), I'm sure his growing body could fill out 147 in coming years. It will be curious to see what he rehydrates to.

And no, he and Roach split some number of fights ago, but they still show mutual respect to one another.

But yeah as far actually beating Herrera, I don't see it. Benavidez is the type of fighters that Herrera knows how to control.
      beat me to it.
I think JR might be in over his head. I can see him doing well at the start but once Herrera gets inside that jab I can see JR losing confidence.

Herrera doesn't make fights easy on himself, but Benavidez hasn't shown that he's ready to step up.

I can understand your skepticism, but i feel this is his coming out party...nonetheless it should be a good fight.

If hererra finds his way in under the jab he'll catch a right uppercut...his best chance is to keep this a boxing match and use some veteran tactics like hitting and holding, but then again thats not a guarentee cause benevidez has skills as well...he wont beat benevidez if a war breaks out.. damn this is actually a really fascinating fight!

herrera isn't that good. he's good at being competitive against guys like provno***ov, dallas jr, alvarado, and mayfield but he lost all those fights legit. the only close fight he probably deserved to win was garcia.
