Comments Thread For: Amir Khan: Alexander is a More Dangerous Fight Now

Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) was first scheduled to face Devon Alexander (26-2, 14KOs) a year ago. Back then, Alexander held the IBF's welterweight title. When Khan fell out of the fight, the British star was replaced by Shawn Porter who scored an upset decision win over Alexander.

Khan intentionally withdrew, because the fighter was made to believe that he was receiving the opportunity to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May of this year. That didn't happen. Mayweather declined to face Khan and instead selected Marcos Maidana. Khan fought on the undercard of the May show, making his welterweight debut with an impressive win over former champion Luis Collazo.

Khan is right this fight should take the winner to the next level but he's wrong when he say's to a super fight. These are b class fighters and either one winning doesn't say that much, although stopping Alexander would be something no one else has done but stopping Khan ...well join the queue as that's been done.

Prepare for a Khan hugfest, as soon as he get hit he'll start holding and running like his life is in danger. Hope they bring a broom to sweep the glass from his chin off the canvas....

first time i've agree with khan on something in a while..probably every since he's been begging floyd from an undeserving position, but i disagree with you when u say these guys are B level fighters..they are great fights for any top guy at WW..i'd say A minus fighters..khan nor devon has ever been simply outboxed..im fine with the winner seeing a super fight..and i dont mean money wise i just mean getting to step in with the best bc he (the winner) proved himself..one condition I NEED A CLEAR WINNER IN THIS FIGHT, and i think that is going to be hard to do

It's Khan that is in a better position here if he were to win emphatically and even stop Alexander then it would be full steam ahead, if Alexander beats Khan every one will just say what Keith Thurman has just said that Khan is the most overrated welter out there, if Alexander knocks him out , no much more that's been done twice.
Unless either one produces a spectacular win I think before talk of the top two the victor really would need to fight Bradley, Thurman or of course Brook. I think a lot here , with so much riding on this depends on the method of victory, either one just scrapping home with a close points win wouldn't be saying much lets be honest.

                    Floyd should ignore Khan

Since Khan has no belt and Khan has no fan base and Khan is hated and despised in America and hated more in the UK. Khan offers Floyd nothing but revenge for America for the tragedies and death Khan's fan base has rendered on America. Skip Khan and fight a true deserving champion. Khan's wealth is going to support ISIS and the Taliban.
