It doesn't normally happen that the chin gets better the higher the weight division but this has got to work for Khan because if he takes the same chin in as he did against Scot willie' light fist' Limond (see the 6th round) he will be knocked out.Being fair to Khan I have seen him take seemly hard punches and wobble but not go down, then a seemingly light punch and he's reeling all over the shop.His excuse after the knockout lost to Prescott was weight so up he went, then he said he was comfortable at light welter and was knocked out by Garcia then said he was then struggling so here he is. These reasons amongst the fact that to date he's not fought a top welterweight create a lot of doubt as to where he is or were he can be with the best welters today but this is a discussion that can not be broached by his blinkered fans that seem so displaced from the reality, Amir Khan is NOT ready for Mayweather or for Manny unless we are guessing for me he is two emphatic wins away and with out these the public again will simply not wear it, lets just wait and see what he's got because in the past it was never enough.

Khan shouldn't be thinking like that because if he really believes he has a good chin he will end up in trouble.
Khan has to know he has a bad chin and protect it like it's his balls, if he's going to be successful.

Khan has a very low punch resistance for a pro.

The weight is irrelevant.

Even if he is not sparked out clean, any puncher who lands a decent shot and follows up will put Khan down.

If you look at the best WW at 147 - Pac, Floyd, Bradley they can all take a shot, and also don't get hit as much as Khan does.

The problem for Khan is punch resistance, poor defense and a tendency to get drawn into toe 2 toe exchanges.

This is why he is limited.
