Before this thread gets deleted for forcing Floyd to get in the ring with Pacquiao as this site is becoming more and more fighthypescene rather than boxingscene...let me just say that we as a boxing sports fans need to figure out a way how to get Floyd in the ring with Pacquiao A S A P. People are talking about ppv numbers and how Pacquiao can't sell *****. The truth is Floyd won't fight Pacquiao even if the ppv share was 99/1 on Floyd's favor. Floyd wants none of Pacquiao since day one period.

We need to start protesting because I'm not watching Floyd fight Amir Khan, Devon Alexander, or Danny Garcia. Floyd's been fighting clowns for way too long. We need to do something.

Once Floyd announces another fighter other than Pacquiao I'm ready to go to that press conference with full gears on with signs that says Pu$$y Floyd and #FightPacquiao.

I'm no Floyd hater but this ***** has to stop. Yes boxing is business but it's also a sport. How do people let Floyd get away making millions fighting two fights with a flat footed Maidena? I want to know who's better. Pacquiao or Floyd?

D@mn Floyd quit ducking and fight Pacquiao.

And no I don't need Floyd's a$$ kissers and his blind followers to tell me who's Brandon Rios and Chris Algieri or Pacquiao needs to get rid of Bob Arum and all that bs excuses. I need them to find Floyd and tell him to fight Pacquiao!

Stop making up excuses. Boxing is a sport yes! But boxing is also a fight! You can't say before a fight...hey I want you to get rid of your wife and I want you to deal with your taxes and I want you to first fight that guy or this guy before I fight you. When you do that it means you're scared but whatever we all already know that.

Floyd if you're scared of Pacquiao...RETIRE plain and simple.

Boxing fans. We cannot let another year, another fight go by without Floyd fighting Pacquiailo. If you're a true fan of the sport of boxing we need this fight!

Khan needs to beat Alexander in style and draw an impressive viewer rating on Sky (UK). If he does that, he probably doesn't need that second fight tbh. (The prospect of the UK bringing $25m-$30m in PPV revenue behind backing Khan changes things in a major way).

Its a shame beating Luis Collazo wasn't what was required. But concentrate on Alexander first and don't look beyond, which is what you are doing again. Beating Devon is a good start because at least he was Maidanas pa pa.
Floyd goes with the hot hand; Maidana took on the sport's rising star, Adrien Maidana, in front of a rabid Mexican American audience in TX, with Showtime throwing their weight behind the event, and pulled off the upset in exciting and decisive fashion.

Maidana impressed on Showtime, the Latin American fans rallied to him, and the general boxing fanbase threw their lot in with him. Khan his name, but the last the fans saw of him was the so-so performance over Julio Diaz. Without the Alexander fight, Maidana getting the fight was really a no-brainer.

So every fighter, 140-160, basically has till early/mid February to make their case for the Mayweather fight. Whomever is on the hottest run, looking the most impressive in their final fight, is likely to get the shot.

^ That's v.true. Khan should beat Alexander, but how he beats him is more important in terms of rebuilding credibility. Can he make it look easy? I'm more interested to see how the PPV numbers work out. Obviously, PPV sales say more about marketing than popularity, but still, sales are sales and that's all Mayweather's camp will care about.
