At the end of the first round of Khan-Maidana, I thought to myself, "Khan might be Freddie Roach's best work yet." Since then, it's been all downhill. Would love to see him get KOd by grunt-slapping Alexander. I understand why some boxers feel the need to be self-promoters, but there is something supremely annoying about a fighter who is both articulate and delusional. I find it more difficult to tolerate than a fighter who is both an idiot and delusional (e.g., Victor Ortiz).

Khan is actually the exact opposite of Briggs. He's fighting Top 10(ish) contenders to earn his place in line, and said that he doesn't just want to be given the Mayweather fight but deliver a performance so dominant that a demand is created for such an event.

People have been demanding Mayweather v Pacquiao for years which earns so much more money than a Mayweather v Khan fight, and that hasn't happened. So Khan thinks that people demanding this fight will make it happen?

Khan is deluded. He's just another fighter to Floyd, he's not as big a draw as somebody like Canelo. Khan should just know his place which is if Floyd wants to make the fight, he will and if he doesn't he won't. Same as he always does. There has been huge amounts of public pressure worldwide for Floyd v Manny for years and Floyd never caved in to that. So he's not going to cave in to people demanding this fight when it won't even be a drop in the ocean compared to the demand for a Floyd v Manny fight.

He'll do what he want's on his terms, love him or hate him, that's just the way it is. Khan needs to stop being deluded, he needs to know his place in boxing right now. Talk less, fight more, prove yourself and make yourself a more lucrative payday. Although the Manny fight hasn't happened yet, Floyd has proven he will fight the fights people want if the money is right. Canelo was one of those, De La Hoya (well Floyd was the B-Side), the Mosley fight was big at the time too. Put yourself in the position Khan, don't beg for it.

At least Khan is fighting Alexander now but it should have happened 12 months ago, except he avoided it incase it messed up a Mayweather payday which didn't happen. At least know he knows he has to fight for what he wants. I lost a bit of respect for Khan with that move. Was he not 100% sure he could beat Alexander last year? seems that way. Didn't want to risk it. That's not a fighting spirit to me. Either he lacked the belief or he was badly advised.
