Why does Jones want to fight Joe?

Joe fights better than Glen Johnson and throws more and harder shots. Jones couldn't deal with those punches that looked a lot softer. How the hell will he deal with Joe's punches which are faster and harder. Joe also can go 12 full rounds nonstop while Johnson tapered off abit slightly towards the final rounds before KOing Jones. Really, what is Jones thinking?

    re

I dont think Joe hits harder than Glen Johnson , faster yes but not harder , Joe has only 3 clean KOs where Glen has 14 , Joe really doesnt punch hard and he does slap as Lacy said , just he slaps alot

Why Joe , because its a speed fight and Roy still has some speed , Roy would be able to box , it would not be like Johnson and Roy has even now so much more skill than stuck in quicksand Lacy , Roy is more in this fight than people think as it really suits him the big question is what does he have left , in Roys prime he was stop Joe relativly easy I feel .

If the fight is at 175 Roy is in it , if its 168 its too light for Jones these days .

roid is going to make a fool of himself if this fight happens. if milk dud head can knock him out then calzone should have no trouble with him.

Joe can't hurt Roy. Roy's main problem now is his chin. Joe still can't box a faded Jones.

This is Jones' last hurrah really. Maybe it is the money, or this is his last real chance to get a major title but I can't see RJJ grabbing a win against Joe, especially if the fight is in Cardiff Can't blame the guy for trying though so big ups to Roy for that

It's obvious Jones just wants the money, especially since he lost his broadcasting gig with HBO or whoever. What I don't understand is why Calzaghe wants this fight? It seems like he could get the same money fighting someone who is relevant, why not give someone who is coming up a shot? He's going to dismantle him anyway and it would still be a good tuneup.

Exactly. He's choosing to fight the most visible fighter around his weight.

The money won't do him much good if he ends up getting hurt.
