Cowboys Dance Hall in San Antonio, Texas - Featherweight prospect Joseph "JoJo" Diaz (14-0, 9KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over tough veteran Jose Angel Beranza (36-32-2, 28KOs). For Diaz it was his sixth victory of the year - going 6-0, 3KOs to close out 2014.
Bantamweight contender Ivan “Niño Maravilla” Morales (27-0, 15KOs), the younger brother of former four division world champion Erik Morales, won a ten round unanimous decision over Timur Shailezov (17-9-1, 4KOs). The scores were 97-92, 96-93 and 97-92. Morales is hoping to land a major title shot in 2015.
