Why do people discredit TMZ as a credible source?

TMZ is basically a news agency that reports on unimportant people and events. They are still a credible news agency even though it's all just trashy public figures like Floyd Mayweather who they report the news about.

They are just as credible as Time Magazine who put Pacquiao on their magazine covers.
