Comments Thread For: Andy Lee Feels Like a New Man With Adam Booth

ANDY LEE (33-2, 23KOs) is confident he has improved enough under trainer Adam Booth to win the WBO middleweight title.

The Irishman disputes the vacant belt with Russian Matt Korobov (24-0, 14KOs) in Las Vegas on Saturday and the winner will make a first defence against Hatfield's Billy Joe Saunders, who out-pointed Chris Eubank Jr last weekend.

Don't think Lee was outhustled by Jr. just overpowered by the bigger man.

You talking about that rugged but extremely limited Frenchmen? Nah, Lee won that fight, but it was close.

He gave away rounds by just standing there with his guard up and letting the dude, Haroche? or something like that, tee off on him.

I think he was trying to work on some things, treating it like a sparring session, but almost backfired.

Also, he won the third round against Jackson, and landed just as many punches. He was setting up that check hook all night. Was Sergio martinez punch a "get out of jail free" Marquez's? Garcia's against Khan? Well he actually did have his eyes closed on that one lol...

Also, Lee was at 154 for thsoe fights - probably had something to do with his performance after being a career MW.

Korobov is still a class above him, though, and most likely stops him. But it mght be interesting because he can get lazy, and if he gives Lee enoguh rounds and time to stay on the outside without pressing him, it could be interesting if it goes to the cards.

Where do I say it was a lucky shot? It was a get out of free jail card because after a string of poor performaces this was likely his last shot at another title run and he was losing against an at best so far decentish fighter and he was hurt again in that fifth before landing that right. In the thread title it says Andy Lee feels like a new man when clearly he isn't and has deteriorated since leaving Manny
