I always have felt Bernard struggled with athletic southpaws. Joe and Chad Dawson comes to mind with fighters he struggled with.

Mayyweather is good against them. Judah, Mitchell, Ortiz, Guerrero and Del La Hoya are southpaws.

I know you have a tendency to make everything about Mayweather but you can argue Mayweather struggles against southpaws. He lost like the first 4 rounds against zab trying to figure him out and zab was a fast southpaw with sneaky power. Mayweather actually got dropped in the fight but it wasnt called. And didn't he get wobbled against the southpaw Corley? De la hoya doesnt fight like a southpaw BTW.

Were they not highly rated fighters when he fought them? Did he not win? You'll not find many fighters with that quality of southpaws on their resume.

DLH is a southpaw that fights orthodox BTW.

Yes, there highly rated and yes he did win but just because he won doesn't mean he didn't struggle in the fights. This thread was intended for fighters who completely dominate against southpaws, that's why it is kinda hard to answer it but i was wondering if people knew about it. I know de la hoya is naturally left handed so ideally he should fight like a southpaw but he doesn't. He strictly fights in the orthodox stance so why would you add that to the list if the fighter doesn't even fight like a southpaw to begin with? By that logic, shouldn't you take out Ortiz from that list? He's a righty fighting like a southpaw so technically according to you, he's a orthodox fighter.

Carlos Molina. He was schooling Lara but got a draw and also getting the better of Kirkland before the knockdown and DQ.

people trying to say floyd is good against southpaws? fu-cks sake. first off he hasn't even fought a very good southpaw and secondly he looked like sh-ite against most of them. got nearly stopped and hit with straight lefts the entire fight against corley. the dummie kept trying to shoulder roll the straight left and kept getting hit. judah beat him up and dropped him before mentally collapsing like always and he stopped throwing punches(he stopped throwing punches against paulie so don't say it was floyd who did anything it wasn't). also floyd changed his entire defense to a high guard because he finally realized it wasn't working. only took what 10 years as a pro. even mental midget right hand dominant ortiz was giving him all kinds of trouble before the sucker punch.

no he wasn't. lara won that fight pretty clearly. lara was landing all the clean punches. molina wasn't doing anything but hitting lara in the gloves lol. fake robbery claims are hilarious.

He struggled with athletic fighters full stop. Jermain Taylor and Roy Jones weren't southpaws.

Calzaghe and Dawson were the only left handed fighters he lost to.
