Is Bob Arum the Greatest Boxing Promoter Ever?

With the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight about to come to fruition, you can't help but recognize the brilliance of Bob Arum. What he has done in recent years may solidify him as the greatest promoter in the history of the sport. Bob Arum receives a lot of unnecessary hate from both fight fans and even fighters.

It's easy to hate on Arum, but it's obvious that Bob is the epitome of what a great boxing promoter is. What this guy has done for a B- fighter like Pacquiao's career is phenomenal. Look at how many 'p*ctards' this guy has created. Look at how long, how many years he has been able to stall the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight, then look at the hundreds of millions of dollars that have resulted from it in the process of doing so. This wasn't by accident. Bob invented piggybacking off fighters names. Bob creates hype trains. Bob created more p*ctards than anyone can count.

People said was Pacquiao's a moron for continuously re-signing to Top Rank, they should have been saying he's smart as **** for doing so. We can all name at least 15-20 fighters at 147 who would make Manny look like the B- level fighter that he's always been, and now Pacquiao is about to make at least 60-80 million dollars for one fight... a B- level fighter getting 80 million dollars. All you can do is respect Bob Arum's skills, we don't see Al Haymon taking B level fighters to 80 million dollar payday's.

Has any other promoter in the history of the sport pulled off a feat comparable to what Arum has done since 2008 with Manny Pacquiao?

I'm not sure that being a great boxing promoter is something to be all that proud of.

      Bob Arum has a boss.

The greatest promoter is Floyd Money Mayweather. He is his own boss.

Promoters control the sport, in a lot of good ways that are usually overlooked.

They create the hype that make you want to watch.

Hate to say it because of his practices.

                  But...

You can quote me on this.

Bob Arum is undoubtedly the greatest promoter ever. No ifs or buts.
