Comments Thread For: Photos: Juergen Braehmer Blasts Out Glazewski in One

Jüergen Bräehmer took 43 seconds to beat Pawel Glazewski in Oldenburg, Germany, on Saturday night. The German veteran retained his WBA 'regular' light heavyweight title when the Polish challenger went down from a body shot and failed to get up.

Bräehmer’s stunning victory took his record to 45-2, including 33 knockouts. Glazewski’s dropped to 23-3, with five wins inside the distance. The champion, the WBA “regular” champion, was making the third defence of his title. The WBA’s “super” champion is Sergay Kovalov, who beat Bernard Hopkins for the IBF belt earlier this year and also holds the WBO light-heavyweight belt.

Never. Sauerland will milk him, putting him in with nobodies and building the fights up as "title defenses" until he retires. He has spent his entire career avoiding the big boys, and that won't change

For a while? For years and he's 35 already. The answer to your question is almost certainly never... he makes decent money with little risk in Germany.

It's been suggested he might drop back down to 168 to get in the Sturm, Stieglitz, Abraham mix, which if managed cleverly could keep the quartet on a carousel fighting each other in turn for the remainder of their careers with no passports required.
