Gabe Rosado is perfectly content to lose every fight valiantly. He really doesn't look like he's ever actually trying to win the fight. He just wants to be Arturo Gatti, except that Gatti mostly won his fights.

I said this while I was watching the fight. The only difference was that Gatti had game changing power at any moment and that is usually what helped bail him out. Rosado unfortunately just has heart and a decent chin. Not enough to keep him in there competing with the best.
