Canelo Promotions won the purse bid for the long awaited battle between Zulina "Loba" Muņoz, the WBC super flyweight world champion and mandatory challenger Mariana Juarez. Canelo promotions threw down 1,150,000 pesos (80K USD) on the fight, beating out the competition. The auction was held this afternoon at the offices of the World Boxing Council in the Federal District, in the presence of Mauricio Sulaiman, head of the agency. Per the terms of the WBC, the fight will have a 60-40 split in favor of Munoz. The date and location will be announced shortly.
