Cotto fights everyone. Doesn't act childish. He's a bad dude who stays cool and rises above boo****.

Damn fine fighter, and would be considered in the upper crust of fighters in his era if it weren't for the existence of mayweather and pacquaio. It is precisely because of guys like Cotto (and DLH and Mosley) that we know how amazingly good those two are.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Canelo. In that fight I'd be pulling for Cotto because I love his attacking style, body punching and all.

Every once in awhile someone fights the fight of their lives and above their natural capacity - doesn't mean anything really. Zaheer Rahim is a one hit wonder who caught Morales sleeping; nobody holds that against Morales.

        Haters everywhere. It's funny

Cotto has beaten everyone put in front of him except Pac and May. I have no doubt that he'd fight and beat Trout in a rematch if he took him as serious.

I would say over hyped is going too far, Cotto has done tangible things in his career and had a long run of quality. His career has been well managed and he did kind of come up short in his biggest moments, but he managed to get a chance to add a last chapter to his career.

Overrated sure at points by some, but everyone is overrated by some at sometime. Is there any real shame in being a step behind the very top guys in the sport and having a good run yourself?

His first loss was to a guy using bricks, he avenged it in a rematch. So I don't look at that as a negative. He faced Manny at the worst possible time in his career and he took a beating, but hey Pac was the #1 or #2 P4P fighter at the time. He then faces Floyd at a good time in his career and gives what Floyd said was the toughest fight of his career, you get a lot of points for that. Trout is by far his most ugly loss but people give Cotto no credit for his wins and just point out when he loses.

Taking it all into account I believe he's faced 10 undefeated fighters and lost twice, that alone is respectable. But he has a great resume and yes I look at losses not just wins. You don't put that you didn't work at Apple when looking for a job at google because you didn't get that top tier management position or IT or what have you. Cotto is what every fighter should be. Instead, we hate fighters who duck people for being scared while at the same time hate on fighters who duck no one but lose OCCASIONALLY.

Smh always an excuse with Cotto!

And don't be so disingenuous with that ''bricks'' remark.

Cotto stans are just like Floyd's fanbase. Grrrr catch weights until their fighter started doing it.

So you think FMJ is a coward and Cotto is a journeyman. Okay. Enjoy that trolling.
