Comments Thread For: Ustinov vs. Welliver on Tap After Kimbo Falls Through

A fight card is being slowly constructed for “The Real Boxing”, Vladimir Hryunov-promoted last notable Russian card in 2014. The competition will take part on December 11 at the Dynamo Arena in Krylatskoye, Moscow, Russia.

The hit of the show is a long-announced showdown for a vacant WBA interim super middleweight title between WBA #2 rated Fedor Chudinov (11-0, 9 KOs) and fellow undefeated Ben McCulloch (14-0, 11 KOs) of Australia, scheduled for twelve. The fight had been first scheduled to take place on Nov. 8 in Tyumen but then was twice re-scheduled, finally landing in Moscow.

Ustinov lost to Pulev, and Pulev lost to Wlad. Therefore, Ustinov-Welliver is a great fight.

    Looking forward to it.

Welliver has to have the most padded career in boxing... literally. I'm guessing, after his boxing days are over with, he goes on a diet and we discover he's really a welterweight.
      HA!

Welliver has absolutely zero chance vs Ustinov. Losing to Pulev doesn´t mean he´s a bum.

Ustinov-Kimbo was such an interesting fight.. Ustinov the man mountain should deal with this either by late stoppage or dull decision. Chauncy lost to a near 50 year old recently.

I take it Welliver didn't have a broken orbital bone then? Still it can't be good fighting so soon after that, it was only 2 week back I think..

Fingers crossed we'll see Ustinov-Fury in early 2015.

I hope it's Raymond Ochieng, he's at least half-decent and always in good shape.

Chauncey Welliver is a very poor opponent, he looked terrible (physically unfit) in his last fight.

Billy Wright was the old bugger who beat Welliver. Way back in February now. Didn't realize Browne beat Welliver. Chauncy was over 300 lbs..
