That's pretty inaccurate to say he wasn't doing a damn thing. If you saw his shows he was very active and visible. Joining in on broadcasts, post-fight interviews, press conferences, he was unquestionably the spokesman for the company. and IIRC he was the one who led the appeal to reverse the decision on Mendez-Barthelemy I.

He may not have been in the nitty gritty financial aspect of the business, but he definitely seemed to be functioning as a promoter in the literal sense.

I hope glaser drops more details on this though.

Wth?!?!? The company was said to be doing excellent, I wonder what happened? They legitimately looked like the next up and coming boxing promotional company. That really sucks!

The company existed before Mike Tyson and would continue to exist without him. They hired him in 2013 and changed their name to Iron Mike Productions. If they did fire him or whatever, the company and it's fighters are still in tact and the would presumably still be putting on shows. Just not with Tyson.

It would suck, because we all love seeing Tyson out there, but it's not his company. They just wanted his name.

They cut him in for 50 percent equity stake in return for his name and celebrity status to help promote..so it was his company.

If I had to guess, I'm thinking Mike had a melt down of some kind that violated a conduct clause in his contract forcing his partner to void their deal.
