Comments Thread For: Glazkov-Cunningham IBF Eliminator in Play For 3/14

A very interesting heavyweight battle is being put together for March 14th, with 30-year-old Ukrainian Vyacheslav Glazkov (19-0-1, 12KOs) taking on former cruiserweight world champion, 38-year-old American veteran Steve Cunningham (28-6, 13KOs). This fight will be an IBF title eliminator for a future shot at IBF/WBO/WBA/IBO champion Wladimir Klitschko.

You never know what glazkov with show up... Tough to pick but it should be a good fight. Win or lose i expect cunjingham on the canvas during the fight. Tough to win a decision against glazkov. Duva grooming him...

Glazkov irritates me a bit...he seems to make it way too hard for himself and eases up too much in seemingly easy warm up or gimme fights, yet did produce the goods in his biggest fight...he is unpredictable, as said - depends on the Czar which arrives on the night.

Don't see Cunningham winning at this age but it's a good matchup of two unfortunately undersized heavies...one experienced campaigner and one young, yet unpredictable lion.

Pulling for Cunningham!!! Thought I believe his career is coming to an end I would like to see him win some bug fights before he is out.

Me as well....but please don't fight Wlad Steve, you can't compete and you have a lot to be healthy for.

Is this fight for the mandatory, or will there be another eliminator after this?

I am all for Steve getting a big payday... but Klitschko-Cunningham? Sad.

I like Steve Cunningham a lot - he's a very likeable guy and he gives it his all in the ring. However, I shudder at the prospect of Klitschko vs Cunningham. I'd fear for his health if he fought Wlad, so I'm hoping Glazkov beats him

This fight is a semi eliminator right, not a final ?
