I see. Quillin could always have called Jay-Zs bluff tho. $1.4mil ain't bad for an undercard kid.

And the Kid dropped his strap to avoid it.

C'mon there's diehard and there's diehard. I actually have / had quite a lot of sympathy for Quillin - he seems like an OK guy, but you're trying to defend the indefensible and you're putting words in his mouth.

Look, the guy's got a young family and Peter and missus Q have been through some tough times, but in terms of his boxing career he's shot himself in the foot. If he can make his $s elsewhere, well, good for him, but he's gonna have a hard time convincing the boxing community he's legitimate by playing bit parts in movies.

Why are you scared to fight him and the other Russian you gave up your title rather than fight him? Why does everyone consider GGG so much better than you including Ring magazine that is owned by your promoter and ranks GGG way higher than you? Why does GGG ko everybody he fights including guys ranked higher than you and you can't?GGG is by far the best middleweight in the world and a much better fighter than you.

The funny thing is Golovkin did make $1m v Rubio, it was 900k then Rubio forfeited 100k after he came in overweight.

I think it was 900k after the 100k was added

Still though, he wants to talk about money almost made, he still beats him there too

Yeah you're right, how does Golovkin earn more through his promotional company?

He had to forfeit $100,000 of his $450,000 purse to Golovkin, whose base purse was raised to $900,000 (although he will earn more through his promotional company).

On Quillin, Haymon has him, Thurman, Wilder etc tying themselves in knots trying to explain why turning down big money is a good idea. It's pathetic.

Its different tho. Ggg was at somebodys mercy, Kid was in full control and passed on that bada$$ style, like a rugged rocker
