Comments Thread For: Photos: Anthony Joshua-Kevin Johnson Kickoff Presser

Watford's Anthony Joshua, 10-0 (10), and New Jersey's Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson, 29-6-1 (14), came face-to-face in London earlier today to promote their January 31st WBC International heavyweight encounter, which is promoted by Eddie Hearn and takes place at the city’s O2 Arena.

Hearn is bringing the 35-year-old American contender over in the hope of getting Joshua a few rounds—the Olympic gold medallist has not heard the bell for round four yet and Johnson has never been stopped—and he is confident that the former WBC world title challenger can do just that.

Safety Pin is a step up, despite losing a few recently but still think Joshua dominates.

Anthony Joshua is NOT ready for this fight. He's going to lose. Johnson is too much too soon for him. Kevin Johnson UD!

This is not an easy fight, Johnson is a seasoned fighter who has competed and been successful at a high level and Joshua is a novice, that's a fact so fights like this are always dangerous.

Joshua is one of my favorite fighters I hope he comes through, I think he will. Personally I would have liked to see him fight another before this one, this is a jump from the likes of Skelton and Sprott, those are washed up domestic fighters....you have to remember Joshua has only had 10 fights, the same amount David Haye had before he ran in to Carl Thompson. Sometimes these potentially great fighters get a bit rushed. Mike Tyson looked phenomenal from his debut but they kept him fighting at a low level for a lot of fights so he could learn his trade, that said he had the benefit of being a teenager.

I like Joshua in this fight I don't think Johnson has the power to stop him and he certainly wont be getting a decision in Britain. I think once Johnson feels Joshua's power he will go into survival mode like he normally does. The only way Johnson wins in my opinion is if he stops Joshua and I really don't see that happening. He will talk a lot like he normally does before he fights but he wont deliver.

Put it this way lads, if anyone thinks Johnson will win a decision in England on a Eddie Hearn card, i want whatever it is your smoking.

The only way safety pin wins this fight is if he knocks AJ out. As he only throws 2 punches a round, i find this highly unlikely. I'd bet on a British stoppage to AJ.

If Hearn really wants to test Joshua, get him in against Thompson the plumber slayer.
