Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Downs Fury-Joshua, Targets Klitschko-Fury

Promoter Frank Warren has said that media reports today of plans to make a fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are both inaccurate and wide of the mark.

Fury defeated Chisora, for the second time, last Saturday night at the ExCeL London to win the British, European and WBO International Heavyweight titles, whilst securing the mandatory challenger position to Wladimir Klitschko’s WBO World title.

Fury-Klitschko will NOT happen. I repeat, it will NOT happen.

Tyson Fury nor his handlers want ANY part of Wlad. Don't let them fool you. He had the chance to fight him last year and ran away and then continued to talk smack. Fury is going to wait for him to retire and pad his record until he can challenge for a title without having to fight Wlad. Fury is going to give up his mandatory shot if Wlad sticks around this time next year.

Say what you want but just wait it out and you will see- this is what will happen.

In an ideal world for Wlad, next year he gets Jennings-Stiverne/Wilder-Fury.

But what's really going to happen is Jennings will be the only one who steps up to the plate and Stiverne if he beats Wilder. Fury won't happen and if Wilder wins, his advisers will advise him to pretend that Wladimir doesn't exist.

NEVER in the history of boxing has a Heavyweight champion been as avoided and feared as Wlad has been during this title reign. Nobody is ever "ready yet," and for good reason. It just sucks for Wlad, I feel so bad for him.

When has Fury ever been offered a shot at Wladimir?

Last year when he fought Pianeta.

Not sure if it was an "official" offer but they wanted to fight Fury and Fury said he wasn't ready yet. Just like Pulev said last year, but he ended up stepping up. Just like Povetkin said the past 2 years but he ended up stepping up.

        Hopefully Stiverne-Wilder step up next.

Those crappy voluntary defenses Wlad had the past 1.5 years... the ones Wlad haters crucify him for- are because NO ONE wanted to fight him. That's 3 top fighters wright there who turned down a career high payday and shot at the HW throne.

Evidence of this? Doesn't even make sense.

I don't think Fury and Joshua makes much sense anyway, but I can't see Fury not wanting a Wlad fight, even though I'm not really a Fury fan, have to give him credit for always wanting to fight.

They wanted to fight Fury and called him out. Fury responded with "I'm not ready yet."

Had he said "Okay." They would of sent the contract offer.

                    What don't you understand, Dirk?
