I agree. Marquez makes adjustments and breaks down Tony. Prime Tony was relentless pressure, but Marquez endures and copes under pressure. marquez won't be stopped, a savvy, and tough boxer is the only style Marquez has problems with. A guy who doesn't commit to a war, but tough enough to keep Marquez honest. Pac isn't a good enough boxer to handle JMM. bradley (who I had losing by a round) had the make up to beat marquez.

If he had plaster maybe he could have actually beat Manny and made him quit instead of just thinking about. In fact, aside from a bum tomato can from Mexico he didn't even win a round against anyone else. Cotto beat the prime out of Margarito I guess.

On topic, this is a terrible fantasy matchup. Marquez was put down by guys like Diaz and Katsidas for christ sake. Margarito steam rolls him in with or without plaster, the odds could be 10,000,000 to 1 for Marquez and I'd still take Margarito. JMM literally would have no chance against Margarito just much, much too small. Margarito is a big guy he's nearly 6 foot and 180 pounds JMM on steroids can't break 150 and he's like 5'4".

pac was able to hold off margarito by his lead combos and his counterpunches. if jmm depend only on his counterpunching ability then margarito would be all over him and mess him up.

Margarito via homicide. Too big, relentless and strong for a smaller counterpuncher. Plus, his iron chin would catch anything Marquez can dish out and not even make him flinch. Toni stops JMM, sadly.

My oh my. Plaster or not, it seems some people did not see prime margarito. 100punch a round w/ a damn good chin. He deteriorated quickly after cotto 1, imo. Always believed, their fight took a lot out of each other.

P4P argument is another matter but not a 147 jmm and a 147 marg. odds would have been huge.
