There are ongoing talks for Canelo to challenge WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto on May 2nd.

Golovkin is the mandatory challenger to Cotto's title. The WBC has already ruled that the Canelo-Cotto winner will have to face Golovkin, who defends his belts against Martin Murray in February.

Heard the sparring session was actually pretty close, maybe a slight edge towards Golovkin. But you never know, maybe Golovkin was holding back against what he saw as a young fighter.

Just off the ear test, sounds to me like Canelo might have got the better of Golovkin. Seems very confident he's better than GGG. Even criticized his resume. Called him just..."strong" lol! Canelo knows something you GGGirls don't! Probably beat the sht outta Golovkin in sparring.

This fight should be at 160. Canelo walks around in the high 160s to about 170.

His fighting weight is also 165 to 170+.
                Come on.

... Alvarez: "I did some sparring with him, he is very strong"... Hahahaha...

LATER EDIT: I wasn't attentive... I've posted the GGG-Chavez Jr sparring vid here... (in fact, the Canelo-GGG sparring doesn't exist on YouTube)... So: excuses asked...

I hope that you are right, but I also hope that Cannel's definition of fight is not what transpired in the ring against Mayweather.

Cotto may want a catchweight. Canelo may be the bigger of the two
