Seriously though, let's try to set all agendas aside for a second. Forget about Floyd for those who hate him. I don't see how anyone, no matter how much of a Pac fan can be pleased with what Arum is doing, or see his true intentions.
It's right here infront of everyone, how he's spinning his business, and some people just refuse to except that he's responsible for any blame.

Personally I believe if this fight doesn't happen, then it is on Arum, (unless orther circumstances hold more weight). and he was carrying everyone along for the ride (again) but even if you still think that Floyd is to blame for that fight not happening, you still cannot say he is responsible for this Vargas fight, Should it go ahead.

I really can't see how pacquiao thought re-signing with arum was a good idea. I mean sure he can keep him winning but from a financial aspect (and we all know he can use the money) and in regards to his legacy... It was a dumb move. If PAC was a free agent the possibilities would be endless, maidana,Thurman,khan,Floyd,garcia,broner etc.... With arum? Vargas,Marquez (maybe),Bradley trilogy,Prov etc... Arum just doesn't have the names in his stable to produce a big fight for this guy.

To me, this doesn't make sense on ANY level, unless Arum's only agenda is to put together fights to make Pac look impressive in front of the fewest amount of people. ESPECIALLY after what happened in the last fight.

Floyd needs to step up and try to beat Manny, physically! I hope Pac loses when that happens, I can stand Arum anymore, he needs to disappear from the boxing world, Pac, make that happen!

A few days ago, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told the Las Vegas Review Journal that WBA 'regular' junior welterweight champion Jessie Vargas (26-0, 9 KOs) was a possible 'Plan B' option for WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao in 2015.

Arum is focused on reaching an agreement for a super-fight between Pacquiao and WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. If the discussions to make a Mayweather fight fall apart, then Vargas is being viewed as a short list candidate to get in there.
