The Philippines No. 2 ranked super flyweight Daryl “Flash” Basadre who scored a sensational 8th round knockout win over previously unbeaten Thai KO artist Yosindaeng Jor Chaijinda in Kanagawa, Japan to grab the vacant WBC Youth bantamweight crown may defend his title in the Philippines.
Basadre’s manager Jim Claude Manangquil told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard/Viva Sports he plans “a first title defense early next year” but said the 22 year old fighter “needs some rest” because he had trained hard for the title shot against the undefeated Thai.
