He's got more of a shot at beating Mayweather than Canelo. He'll receive less punishment in that style match up and if he looses to Mayweather, the fight with Alvarez will still be there to make.

Interesting for Cotto. If he fights Floyd first this is good business for him because win or loose he can still fight Canelo after.
IF he beats Floyd then a Trilogy is in order.
IF he fights Canelo first and turns out he puts a beating on Canelo, Floyd will not fight him at all.(Like he did when he beat Shane)

I'm not so sure that Cotto would make more fighting Floyd than he would fighting Canelo. Remember, Floyd is knows to shortchange his opponents. Against Canelo, Cotto can demand a larger percentage. Not to mention, a Cotto/Canelo clash would generate lots of $Comment

Floyd fans should be hoping that Cotto/Canelo gets made for next May. The only fight that would move them off would be Mayweather/Pacquiao. Jr's fans seem so confident that he will make easy work of Pac so they should be excited for the fight to finally happen. Don't you want to see your hero in the ultimate legacy fight?Comment
